[Tyne] Pridal Cavern

She lays snuggled against her two boys and her daughter Nonza. Head lowered upon her paws and ears twitching. While her eyes are closed the Tyne queen is far from asleep. Tail twitches in motion with her thought that keep jummbling through her mind before a soft sigh stirs the dust beneith her nose. Eyes crack open and honey-green orbs rotate from where she lay, not bothering to lift her head up. Just another quiet day in Tyne.
There is no family for the guardian to sleep amongst, they had been lost to him a long time ago when they found their own ways. And perhaps it is for that reason that he has some trouble sleeping in the night. So, the chocolate-toned lion leans slightly against the cavern opening, looking out on the sky, his own thoughts floating somewhere in the whispy clouds. His tail twitches back and forth in a steady *thump* *thump* *thump*, but otherwise he remains motionless.
Her head finally lifts and Tisea glances to the cavern entrance where Kiapo sits. "Troubled thoughts?" she murmurs softly so as not to stir the others. Ears rotate fowards the remainder of the way and she peers curiously. She felt bad about falling asleep when she had brought him here but she was just so exhausted her body took controle and she simply followed in its wake. Tail curls around one foot as she smiles politely, "Sleep ok? Was everyone decent to you?" Cause if not she'll raise havoc. Just because Fuadi wasn't there didn't mean rudeness was allowed. She'd rip tails and toes off before she let that happen.
"Hmm?" The lion's head turns, making a sound like someone waking from some long dream. He blinks slowly, ears tipping forwards as his brain comes around to react to the sound. "Just dreaming old dreams." Kiapo replies, keeping his own voice hushed as to not wake the others. "But I slept well enough, comparably at least." He gives one low, somber laugh at this comment. "No worries, though, m'lady. Everyone has been kind to me. Although I must admit to feeling bad for Lord Elim last evening. It's hard for to have every eye on you." While he may never have been royalty, or even somewhere close to it, Kiapo does understand responsibility and how much of a burden it carries.
Tisea nods her head and smiles gently, "Indeed.." She knew all about that. The lioness pushes herself up onto her paws and slowly makes her way to his side, haunches folding beneith her. The pregnant Queen grins before nodding her head, "It is.. Elim' is naturally a quiet fellow but he's strong and stubborn, Aitan is the one who speaks up, but he can be somewhat shy when it comes to such foward actions sometimes. Together though.. they're an amazing team.. each others faults are mended by the others advantages." Tisea rolls a shoulder gently and sighs, "Elim' will have to learn and learn the head-first way. Fuadi never got to finish their training, and in the future some errors won't be excepted. I can only help my boys and their mates as much as I can.."
As Tisea approaches, Kiapo lowers his head slightly and gives her a gently nudge to the shoulder in greeting. Although she may be the queen, he certainly feels more comfortable with her than with those he had only met just yesterday. "It sounds as if it was a wise choice to have them rule side by side. What they lack in training, they can learn from each other and from experience." He bobs his head slightly, seeming to take this in and understand it. "I really wouldn't know from personal experience, though. My sisters and I were raised by our father. When he passed away, they joined a pride and I was sent onward. I'd never really met royalty outside of stories until you." He looks over at her with those ocean-toned eyes.
Tisea nods her head, "That's the plan." She shifts her weight to get comfortable before letting her gaze move out across the lands. Tisea smiles faintly before meeting his gaze and chuckling, "Well I'm not the best example. Most of the Tyne royalty weren't trained up until their adulthood. I don't believe any sort of coronation has ever been held do to the fact that when royalty stepped up it was in time or need or dissaperance." She ponders for a moment, whiskers twitching. "The stories Vinjari told me when I was little, back from when my great-grandmother and great-grandfather ruled don't say much about any. I'm hoping to change that for the boys."
"I would imagine that it is difficult to chose which cub would be most fit to rule when they are young." Kiapo murmurs with a thoughtful expression. "It is said that even the Lord whose name I bear, was not originally destined to rule. If I recall, he was the second son of a distant king. But I'd imagine that the spirits have a plan for all of us, in turn." His maw lifts into a small smile, glancing back into the cavern towards the lions who would be kings. "But it is a time to celebrate. New rulers come to the land, new life comes to the land, and the circle continues. Even for you."
Her eyes stay fixed out on the Tyne lands and her head slowly nods. The Tyne Queen sighs gently and smiles, "Indeed.." She remains silent for a long while, thought continuously turning over and over. She glances back at her boys before looking to Kiapo and dipping her head. "Thankyou Kiapo. I reall appriciate all you've done and said. You were just a stranger but now you feel more like apart of this pride, apart of our family." Tis' nudges his shoulder gently before letting her gaze roam out to the lands again, ears rocking fowards.
"I'm glad of that." The lion rumbles softly, "This is an amazing place... far more so than any story could ever have put into words. And those who dwell in it, more true than any legend." For a moment, Kiapo's eyes seem to follow hers out to the lands, but then they turn back onto Tisea. "Tell me... what are you looking for when you stare so longingly to the horizon?" His voice takes on a very soft tone, gentle, as if not wanting to upset her with such a question. Still, with all the tragedy that has befallen this pride as of late, he knows quite well that it just may.
Tisea smiles and nods her head a little before falling motionless along with silent. She sits quietly, eyes searching the lands before, without looking back to him, she speaks. "Some hope of Fuadi returning... that his death was just one big mistake... that he could return and lead the boys like he wished he could have... my father returning home from his dissaperance or death... I'm still not sure which it was. Maybe my mother to return... her whereabouts are still a mystery to me. Everything is so jumbled I can't remember if she vanished or died... something good to come and bring light to my family and my pride." Tisea trails off before smiling sadly and glancing to Kiapo. "Maybe something good did come, I'm just looking in the wrong direction." The Queen shifts her weight and sighs, "One day soon this sadness will leave me.. I hope anyway. Until then.. I can't run from it."
For a few moments, Kiapo is quiet as he thinks through what is said. So much loss, moreso than perhaps he could understand. Other than his father, he hadn't really had to come to grips with losing anyone, and at least he knew exactly how that end had come. "Forgive me if this is presumptuous, but... I think that if they could return, they would have already. Perhaps it is not just a coronation that is needed, but a time to honor the memory of those past. So that those left can grieve and find solace." Slowly, he ducks his head and lightly brings his nose up under her chin, giving a soft nudge. "Chin up, m'lady. Even though they are gone, they've left the soul of this land in you, and in your children. They would not want to see such sadness hidden behind that smile of yours."
Tisea listens to him quietly, honey-green eyes switching from the landscape to that of the male beside her. The nudge under her chin gives Tisea a soft smile before she nods her head, "Your right..." She begins to think that maybe the coronation is needed soon. Or at least plans for it should be made. Tisea returns her attention to Kiapo and the pregnant lioness presses her nose to his cheek greatfully, "Thankyou Kiapo." She stands and wonders back to where Nonza, Elim' and Aitan are, snuggling down in the little group of her children. She settles her head down on her paws and gives Kiapo a soft smile before closing her eyes to ponder plans, happier plans in hopes of birthing happier times.
"Always welcome." The lion replies, watching her as she goes back to the warmth and company of her children. Certianly, for a lion who has lived a wanderer's life, this will take some getting used to. He watches short time, and then whispers, "Rest well, m'lady." Before getting to his feet. Quiet, moving with careful steps as not to wake anyone, Kiapo steps out of the cavern to get a breath of fresh air.
