OOC: Okay, so I'm tired of the lack of good RP elsewhere and I can't seem to log on to catch the few folks I know elsehwhere (darn this whole 'growing up' thing)...so...here's Siangamika. And I'll do Raiyan in another thread. Anyone who wants to is more than welcome to join in!The sun was setting slowly along the savannah's horizon, the fiery rim just barely touching. With his back turned to it, his shadow elongated on the grasses before him, Siangamika sits thoughtfully on a raised, large rock, staring off to the border of Mbaamwezi. His brows are furrowed, muzzle creased, expression obviously one of displeasure. Whatever the thoughts are that are flowing through his mind, they aren't pleasant. "Kivuli's leadership has failed, some how. They've grown lazy...or are just as naive as they've ever been," the giant of a Barbary murmurs to himself, red-highlighted ebon mane catching the dying rays of the sun and seeming to glow on their own. His voice, thick, deep, and resonant, is reduced to a subdued, contemplative grumble. Hunching his shoulders, as he often did as an adolescent, Siangamika lowers his head, honey-amber eyes narrowing slightly. Mbaamwezi could have been home; if only he had been there to protect it when Zira came. No, instead, he was off chasing after Seth, intent on revenge, never once thinking that someone might need him. Sighing, he shakes his head, trying to rid his mind of those thoughts. The past is just that; past. The hulking form stands and leaps lightly from the rocky crest, moving languidly, confidently, with the ease of a beast who really doesn't have much to fear. He paces easily, slowly, eyes set on the grasses. Something must be done about all this; Seth is in Mbaamwezi, nothing good can come from that place. No, Siangamika isn't yet aware of Seth's demise - he's still intent that that pleasure should be his. He certainly won't be happy to hear he's been denied such a thing. But. Something must be done. If not all out warfare to eliminate Zira's pride...then...well, something.

OOC: Well, Ausi' has fled Mbaa' with Sekhmet because of freaking out at Zira for Seth's death, so... He might just find out some important news, but that all depends on whether or not the lion in hiding decides to show himself. Hunkered down in the tall grass, Ausikifa had been dozing in the fading light of the day and waiting for the cool night to come; he and Sekhmet needed food soon. The burly adolescent slowly comes to, barely lifting his head from his paws before his ears catch the faint sound of another's voice. He can't tell what was said, nor does he know if the lion is friend or foe. It could be an hired killer from the Mbaamwezi come to murder him for his attack on their "Queen." Pfeh. Unsure, Ausi' remains low to the ground, keeping a careful watch on his sleeping lioness. He doesn't care what happens to him, but Sekh' is a different story. Testing the wind proves that no Mbaamwezi smells, only those of the Kivuli grass that surrounds him. He's taking a gamble staying in these lands, yes, but it's less of a risk than staying across the border. The lion's crystal-blue eyes narrow in thought, his tail slowly curling and uncurling as he wonders how to handle this stranger... Wholly unaware of Siangamika's relationship with his dead father, Ausikifa decides to confront the larger, older lion. The adolescent isn't small by any stretch, but he's no match for a Barbary. Pushing from the ground with his paws, Ausikifa slowly rising like an apparition from the grass, his shoulders jutting toward the sky. He remains half-sitting, his head down causing his black and golden mane to obscure his eyes from the lion nearby. He watches, listens, and smells, but says nothing and only watches the other creature pace. Something is familiar about that lion, but Ausikifa isn't quite sure what it is. Unaware that the two of them have a horrible connection to one another, Ausi' waits, his paws quietly kneading the grass in a subtle, nervous gesture.

OOC: Eh. Why not. XD
She was sick and tired of sitting in that den, sitting and waiting. It was unnerving to be cooped up, especially for her. Weupe wasn't a pridal lioness, she wasn't used to staying in caverns and confined places. She was a wanderer, her feet told her where to go, the only reason she was even here was because it was a stable place for her two young ones and it was closer to her mother.
She hadn't seen him in ages, she'd gotten used to it. Not in a bad way, just that she knew he had other things on his mind and he was just as bad to get wander happy as she was. The cubs were old enough to be left alone with a babysitter, so, deeming her 'adoptive' daughter the babysitter, Weupe's left the closure of the den to follow Siangamika's scent.
The ghostly lioness slowly makes her way towards the Mbaamwezian border. The setting sun casts a light roasy hue to her stark white pelt, sky blue eyes turning a somewhat azure color. Ears twitch fowards around bangs dangling down to her chin as her gaze catches the large barbary leaping to the soil, watching him pace. A thin delicate brow arches as she slowly makes her way towards him, tail curling and un-curling behind her.
She doesn't call out his name like some giddy childhood sweetheart, but simply chuffs deeply in announcement, ears turning back in a relaxed state, eyes narrowing in that 'you better tell me whats wrong' look.
Weupe doesn't notice Ausi' in the grasses, and so focuses her attention soully on the ill-tempered barbary as she closes the distance between them.

For indeed, if nothing is done about the threat to the south...what will happen then? His family - his cubs, Anyu, Weupe - will be forced to flee if Mbaamwezi strikes. Then again, Weupe may not be so willing to run again, if he knows anything about it. Still. The thought of being forced out again, even if neither of them likes Kivuli all that much, is more than the massive Barbary can stand. ...Maybe it's time he took matters into his own paws... There's always that delicious tinge the thought of violence has in his mind. The threatening dark storm from his father, the alluring bloodlust from his mother. Siangamika was fortunate enough to avoid such things in his younger years, by never reallying needing an outlet, save for the occasional thing, but these days, they're always at the edge of his sight. Waiting for the opportunity. Biding their time with the patience of a long-practiced predator. It is these things that perhaps motivate Siangamika more and more these days. At first, he doesn't notice Ausikifa. But he does hear Weupe's chuff, something more her style than the average lioness's. Turning his head to view the rosey-alabaster girl, he sighs inaudibly, but a small smile does twitch at the edges of his muzzle at the sight of her; he was wondering when she would get sick of the den. Sitting, he waits for her to come in line with him before he speaks. "Just thinking to myself," he intones casually, voice soft in the still, easy evening. "...about the so-called pride to the south of us." It is then, as his eyes sweep over the savannah with the intent of focusing back on Mbaamwezi, that he catches sight of the adolescent. His brows furrow; it's not one of Kivuli's normal residents, not one he recognizes in either sight or scent. Standing, his thoughts already aggressive and his body only able to follow, he stares for a moment at Auskifa...something is very, very familiar there... OOC: Does Ausi look like Seth at all? I can't remember.

OOC: Ausi': www.deviantart.com/deviation/33854705/?qo=21&q=by%3Aunzumi&qh=sort%3Atime+-in%3AscrapsSeth: www.deviantart.com/deviation/19344168/?qo=44&q=by%3Atisea&qh=sort%3Atime+-in%3AscrapsAusi' has the same white diamond on his nose as his father.. which is pretty distinctive. So, I'm assuming he'd be recognized very well. He's obviously Seth's son ********** The silence around them is overpowering, and for a while Ausikifa is almost glad that the other male doesn't notice his presence. At the sound of a nearby chuff, unknown to him, Ausi's ears flick only slightly from the tangle of his mane as he keeps his movement to a minimum. His eyes slowly shift to one side as the ghostly lioness comes into view, and she too doesn't notice him in the dim light. A small smile works its way across his muzzle, and the lion remains as motionless as possible. He doesn't know the lioness, but something about the other lion strikes deep in his chest; there is aggression there, but there is also a furtive fear that tiptoes around the edges of his thoughts. Something. Something is familiar. As his mind works, his ears twist to pick up the low conversation, but as it trails off Ausi' picks up his head to meet the gaze of the other male. An irritated sigh almost, almost escapes him, but instead Ausikifa pushes himself to all fours to meet the Barbary as an equal. Luckily, the head strong boy keeps his mouth shut, and keeps his body still; this time he is not the aggressor, but he will hold his ground. His tail ticks off the seconds behind him as his brain continues to work itself around who he is facing. A brief flicker of his eyes is given to the lioness, but she doesn't concern him. The son.. the son of the Barbary Lord.. Yes. It is.

The mention alone of the pride to the south causes a darkening look to overcast Weupe's normally easy going look. Her ears twitch as they settle back, vaugely resembling curved horns, her eyes narrowing a fraction. It's a subtle change, but those who know her know it's not a normal one.
Weupe remembers the day they almost had their way with Anyu. The day she had to suck up her pride and excape to the Kivulian lands. Mbaamwezi was her home, and not just because she stay'd there. It ran in her veins, in her history, it was part of her. And that incarnate from hell stole it from her. Weupe deep down knew, if it wasn't for her love of Anyu, she would have stay'd and destroyed as many of them as she could until they brought her down.
The vauge look of distaste slowly draws away to leave a look of simple annoyance, "What's there to think about. They're a pack of spineless dogs, not worth calling themselves leonine." Weupe lifts her head defiantely, teeth griting. She wasn't one known for a short temper, but when it flared up, it was bad.
Ausi's appearance is what snaps her from her memories, peircing blue eyes settling upon the adolescent like a hawk. Seth attacked her once, however she didn't know that the lion she saw before her was his kin, it was a long time ago and she wasn't really taking mental pictures. The look upon her face is anything but welcoming as she stands near the towering barbary, her multi-colored tail tuft giving a violent twitch.
No one says a word, so Weupe breaks the silence for them, her voice balancing on heated annoyance. "Stunts like hiding in the grasses on the border of two prides at war will get your head removed from your shoulders. You and your pretty lass." Que brow arch here.

His ears twitch back as Weupe addresses the adolescent; something triggers stark recognition. Not only the distinct marking on Ausikifa's muzzle, but the manner in which he holds himself, the aura of attitude; this boy reeks of Seth.
Siangamika's muzzle snaps up, ears folding back, eyes widening with sudden clarity, claws unsheathing. A red haze tinges the corners of his vision and for a blinding moment, Sianga can clearly see his claws and teeth settling into Ausikifa's hide, can taste the blood that courses in this spawn of Seth's veins; he could take out all these years of frustration and hatred upon Seth's son, rip him to shreds, and have some measure of retaliation expended. It'd only increase his drive to find his enemy and lead to further bloodshed. Yes, for a moment, Siangamika could kill Ausikifa and enjoy it.
But there is one thing that Ausikifa has going for him that the Barbary can't ignore; Sianga never wanted to be associated with his father. Would it be fair to assume Ausikifa and Seth are one as Siangamika had not wanted of himself and Ronan? That thought alone stills the almost overwhelming sensation, but it does take Sianga a moment to recover, to still his nerves, calm his tensed and anticipating musculature.
Chest heaving with unspent aggression, the massive Barbary shakes his head and mane out gently, coping slowly. "Indeed," he finally speaks, voice husky and deep toned, "It might even be a shame if such a thing happened." Aware of - and thankful for - Weupe's presence at his side, for the mere thought of her being here stills his demons, Siangamika sets his gaze on the adolescent, eyes narrowing. "I do believe you're on the wrong side of the borders," he says levelly. "Or has your sire started sending out his own to do his dirty work?" Oh yes, Siangamika knows who Ausikifa's father is, if nothing else.

And it is the lioness who speaks first, causing his attention to split between her and the larger male in front of him. His ears lift from within the forest of his mane in a bit of surprise, but they slick back almost as quickly as he lifts his chin indignantly, "And it is wise for a lioness not to speak so ill of one before knowing his intentions." Snort. "Stunts like that will get your tongue ripped from your muzzle quite quickly." Ausikifa's tail ticks off in irritation, and as he slides his attention away from the talkative lioness his cold blue eyes turn to steel. He's been recognized.
Ausikifa's muzzle curls into a disgusted sneer when the icy tirade falls from Siangamika's maw. Unfortunate indeed, since he wouldn't go down easily. Pfeh. He watches in a kind of eager fear as the larger lion's body tenses and his claws appear, and he finds his own slipping from their sheaths to tick at the earth. Ausikifa's shoulders begin to role skyward in anticipation, but at Siangamika's last statement... laughter begins to rise within him. It starts with a low chuckle, but his amusement grows until Ausikifa is heartily roaring with laughter into the sky.
"A little behind the times aren't you, son of Ronan?" Comes the adolescent's eventual reply, his amusement still paramount but at least the laughter has faded to a snide grin, "Your enemies beat you to it, and my father no longer walks this realm." That said, Ausikifa deems it safe enough to ease himself back to his hindquarters, determined to keep between these two and the sleeping Sekhmet.
"As far as you are concerned," the boy begins, lifting a paw in an off manner, "I am neither interested in you, your lioness, nor your little pride." His sneer thickens to a sardonic smile.
"I am interested only in revenge," he drawls, his clawed paw pointing deep into Mbaamwezi territory.

It's funny that the giant barbary with something to gain, even if it is only a bit of 'good feeling' in ripping the boy to shreds, is the one who manages to keep his temper in check. Weupe's cool eyes take on a edge of ice as she narrows them on the adolescent male. "Do you honestly think I give a rats donkey about your intentions? You reek of arogance you insolent little cub," she hisses, "Your filthy blood stole my homelands, be it by his own paw or assistance, and for that I'd sooner rip your goodies from between your legs with my claws before you even had the thought of nearing my muzzle." Weupe spits in his direction, a rummble of a growl working its way up from her chest.
Weupe leans herself against Sianga's muscled side, the tension in her alabaster figure making ripples through her muscles, her figure shaking slightly. The simple look on his face makes her want to run over there and pound it into the dirt until his own mother wouldn't recognize him, but the lioness smothers her smoldering rage into a heated glare and stands where she is, hackles rigid along her neck and shoulder.
Little brat. gr.
