I did some thinking today about some plots and general things that would be fun and could bring back the MUCK we all love so much. And it was in my Biology Lab that I got to thinking.. why not?
I'm going to throw out an idea of a revival and my plot idea. I want you all (whoever is still around and checks the boards) to tell me what you think..
I was thinking maybe setting it WAY after what we've been playing in, like .. where Kivuli Rock would be rumored to still be somewhere covered in vegetation. The prides would be just legends that little cubs would laugh about and elders would continue to tell. The lands itself believed to be 'haunted' just because its ancient - sort of grown over itself when the last remains of the pride dissapered. I was thinking of a scattering of the prides maybe because of a bad drought. They had to follow the herds, maybe the drought has continued all these centuries but for some reason Kivuli and/or Tyne remain fully vegetated but no one wants to venture to either because the population has become semi-superstitious possibly (the prey doesn't even go that way). You go you wont come back kind of deal.
The prides have maybe become very nomadic like, small, compact. There could be one main pride starting off, kind of a brutely fellow leading it. Maybe over the generations a fued between cheetah and lion have built due to lack of food and trying to claim land. The scarcity of food could make up for lack of other animal players - Leopards could have all but almost dissapered. A rareity (probably because they're the "ghosts" in the old ruiens of tyne and kivuli)
That leaves multiple TPs. Guarding waterholes selfishly, being more about protecting your patch of land. Crossing anothers borders would be death due to the food source it may have. Survival of the fittest. Maybe one day it could rain for more then a short period when it hasn't for more then 2'000 years or something.
Just a thought... If it gets good feedback then I'll expand and flesh it out before I start the process.. just let me know what you think.

Here's some stats on the main Pride that would be 'top dog'. Now the point is that the prides are small, compact, this pride would be the biggest pride since back in Kivuli days - LARGE prides are vertually unheard of (this helps with Kings feeling as if they NEED a million members, which they dont. With prey very very scarce, a large pride would mean more work and trouble to keep them all alive, plus help with a small player base.) - King Arapmoi - African Nandi name meaning "son of war." (Filled by Simba)
Arapmoi is semi-brute like. He is by no means evil, nor cruel, he simply believes in survival of the fittest. He's got a very brash, straight forwards, blunt almost arogant nature. He protects his pride and land selfishly, since it's worked thus far. He's all work and rarely play - though he is known to relax from time to time and have conversations with whomever. His feeling towards the Cheetah clan is everything hostile could mean.
- Queen Nosizwe - African Xhosa name meaning "mother of the nation." (Filled by Kiara)
Nosizwe is almost the exact opposite of her mate. She's got a sweet nature, very motherly, very caring. She is the soothing water to her King firey nature. She however is by no means a push over. Nosi' can handle herself in any situation, but is more then likely to tell you she's "dissapointed" before she admits she's angry. Nosi' acts as both Head Huntress and Queen. Her feeling towards the cheetahs equals her mates.
- Prince Neo - African Tswana unisex name meaning "gift." (Filled by Lutalo)
Neo is one of the twins and Heir to the pride. He's taking on his fathers firey nature but he has more of a cool head on his shoulders. He fears the cheetah clans.
- Princess Nia - African Swahili name meaning "purpose." (Filled by Aziza)
Nia is the other twin, she's somewhat shy calm and keeps to herself mainly. She's a very curious young thing. Cheetahs scare her and yet intrigue her.
- (Queens Sister)Sauda - African Swahili name meaning "dark-complexioned." (Filled by Darkling)
Sauda is the older sister of the Queen. Somewhat envious of her baby sister, Sauda has an infatuation with her King but strictly on a pridal lioness level. She sees him as one of gods best creations. Sauda has a slight bite to her words, having the habit of speaking her mind when she should hold her tounge.

- I understand the being too busy thing. <3 - And yeah XD You could play Neo. *matrix fool* Cheetah Clan InformationThe Cheetah Clan is going to be run by a Amir, or King. There is no Queen but his mate holds the title Lady. All offspring will Lord or Lady with the exception of the Heir which is choosen from ALL the clan's offspring, not just the Amir's own litter - The Heir is always Male. The clan is split up into Khanate's and spread across the Cheetah Territory in hopes of better protecting their land. The other khanates are led by Khan's who all report and take orders from the Amir. - Amir Cashile: African Zulu name meaning "hidden; child of a concealed birth."
Cashile is the head "King" or Amir, of the Cheetah clan. This King Cheetah protects his family to the extent of his abilities, and very fiercely at that. He's a just ruler but once in awhile can be somewhat fierce and bitter even to his own clan. Having lost his first litter with his mate Kamaria to the lions, Cashile is extremely hostile to the other big cats.
- Lady Kamaria: African Swahili name meaning "like the moon."
Kamaria is the mate to Amir Cashile (The King of the Cheetah Clan). She is soft spoken, generally choosing to follow in her mates pawsteps and stay in his shadow as not to get involved with whatever politics or business he's tending to. Unlike most other cheetahs her pelt color is almost 'blonde'. Instead of dark black splotches across her light tan pelt, light mahogany ones cover her. Ever since the brutal death of her and Cashile's first litter due to the lions, Kamaria has withdrawn into herself.
- Khan Uzoma: African Igbo unisex name meaning "follow the right road." (Filled by Kione)
Uzoma controls a small sect or, Khanate, of the cheetah Clan. He's Cashile's bestfriend, having grown up with the Amir, and follows him loyally into whatever it is the other finds himself.

I would LOVE to join you guys! I joined the Sunrise forums like, two years ago, and then completely forgot about them. But yeah. I'm not sure if I know how to properly use a "MUCK", so I will need some help.. but I have an original Hyena character that I would just LOVE to be able to use. :]

Oh hey! Another question. I assume that there is going to be one big roleplay with mostly everyone, and then other sub-roleplays with just a few groups in those. But, would the big roleplay be solely on the MUCK server or what-have-you?
Also! I feel like an idiot for asking this, but the MUCK roleplay, I would enter the server address into .. an IRC client, right? D:
Thanks again!

Sounds very interesting. I'm far too busy to be taking any major roles, but perhaps I'll have a descendant of Vela appear every now and then, evil-ish Shamaness (of course) of which scary ghost stories are told about, originating from the once-peaceful Kura Visum sanctuary. It's now a spooky, no-mans lands.

Nia and Neo are taken then. n_n And yes dear, the address goes into a MUCK client like .. simplemu.onlineroleplay.com/you just Download that etc. The MUCK is currently down for maintenance and revamping and most of the RP will take place on the MUCK yes but board RP is not outlawed and for those of us who can't get online all the time will probably be prefered. Cheetah ideas are awesome! I left two of the Khan slots open for other concepts as well as their mates, whomever were in the other sects etc. Just gave them basic skeletons and the such.

Cool beans!
Also, I know there's still work to do and all that, but I was wondering if maybe I could begin a Hyena clan list of some sorts up here? Just so that if people come back, they see the Lion Prides, the Cheetah Clans, and the Hyena Clans?
